Demayth Duels Playtesting Update: More Than Just a Spin-off!
Hey Demayth community,
We just wrapped up another exciting playtest session for Demayth Demigod Duels, and I'm thrilled with the progress we're making! It's been amazing to see the game evolve and take on a life of its own.
More Than Just Battles
While Demayth Duels started as a way to capture the essence of the Demayth Adventures battle system, it's become so much more than that. It's evolving into a unique game with its own distinct identity, while still staying true to the spirit and lore of the original.
Adventures Inspiring Duels
One of the things I'm most excited about is how Demayth Adventures is directly influencing the development of Demayth Duels. We're taking inspiration from player characters, epic moments, and unique items from our Adventures sessions and incorporating them into Duels.
This means that:
Iconic characters from Adventures will become playable cards in Duels. Imagine wielding the legendary sword of a fallen hero or summoning the power of a mighty demigod you encountered in your campaign.
Spells and abilities from Adventures will find new life as strategic options in Duels. Those epic spells you cast to defeat a fearsome dragon? Now you can use them to outmaneuver your opponents in a duel!
The rich lore and world-building of Adventures will continue to enrich the setting of Duels. The Everlands will feel even more alive and interconnected as elements from both games intertwine.
A Shared Universe
This cross-pollination between Adventures and Duels creates a truly unique and interconnected gaming experience. Players of both games will find familiar elements and exciting new connections, enriching their understanding and enjoyment of the Demayth universe as a whole.
The Future of Demayth Duels
We're still on track for a November release of Demayth Duels, and I can't wait to share the final product with you all. In the meantime, we'll be continuing our playtesting sessions, incorporating your feedback, and adding even more exciting elements inspired by Demayth Adventures.
